As the days are getting shorter our thoughts turn to warming foods, foods that comfort us and make us fell loved.
I like this soup of mine when the weather changes.

MILD CURRIED LENTIIL SOUp
Broth
3 dessertspoons white miso ( optional)
1 dessertspoon cumin
2 dessertspoons curry
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 clove garlic
100g almonds/cashews (soaked overnight and drained)
100g chopped onions
1/2 litre water
Blend the ingredients together until smooth.
Pour into a saucepan and heat slowly, stirring regularly.
ADD
1 diced onion
2 stalks celery finely chopped
3 carrots diced
and any other vegetables of your choice.
Add 11/2 water or coconut milk.
If you want a thicker soup use less liquid.
Just before serving add the sprouted lentils.
Garnish with fresh coriander (chopped)
